Panerai's Exclusive Complication: The Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT watch

The Replica Panerai Watches - Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT watch represents the first foray of this celebrated watch brand into the realm of high complications. Boasting immediately recognizable Panerai style, an engrossing heritage of sports based performance, and the technical prestige inherent to the most famous complication in all of haute horlogerie, this Replica Panerai Watches has already stirred the desires of dedicated Panerai collectors, and in fact, watch connoisseurs of all types.

Crafted from finely brushed 316L stainless steel, the Panerai Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT timepiece measures a robust 47mm in diameter, and features the characteristic locking lever over the winding crown which insures a water-tight seal to a depth of 100 meters. A 2mm-thick domed sapphire crystal, integrates perfectly with the contour of the bezel, and spans a matte black dial that boasts highly luminous hands and hour markers. As is the case with all Replica Panerai watches, the dial is complex, and features a "sandwich" construction, with a luminous section between the relieved upper surface and a lower one. The result is a finely executed canvas for the time which nonetheless radiates a spartan and uncompromisingly sporty aesthetic.

The heart of the Panerai Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT watch is an entirely new manual-winding movement, which has been conceived and produced by Panerai. The star feature of this caliber -- officially dubbed the Calibre P.2002 --  is of course, the tourbillon. Unlike traditional tourbillons, which due to their pocket watch origins, only compensate for errors in the vertical orientation, the P.2005 can theoretically offer a more ideal performance for the situations encountered by watches worn upon the wrist. Rather than a traditional tourbillon cage which shares the same axis of rotation as that of the balance oscillation, this tourbillon's cage rotates at a right angle to it, and completes two revolutions each minute -- a rate twice that that of most tourbillons. The power reserve indicator, is also featured on the movement side of the watch, and travels across its arc to indicate the status of the six-day power reserve -- an impressive figure which can be accredited to the unique Panerai implementation of three mainspring barrels. A GMT-hand, complete with a supplementary 24-hour indicator gives the watch excellent travel utility, and underscores the adventurous heritage of the Panerai brand. Comprised of 239 individual pieces, the Panerai Calibre P.2005 has been given a striking satinized finish upon its bridges, which draws the eye to the beveled edges, polished jewel settings, and of course, the fascinating motions of the highly unusual tourbillon design.

Limited to a production of just a few pieces per year, the Panerai Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT watch will remain a coveted acquisition for the passionate ranks of Paneristi. Each watch is completed by an alligator strap, and a large tang-type buckle engraved with the Panerai signature.
